As a member of the Metropolitan Club in Chicago, I was recently reading the Private Clubs magazine and stumbled across an ad for clubmemberwines.com. As I am always looking for great wine at an affordable cost, I went into the website to see what it had to offer. What I found were some of my favorite wines, Lewis Reserve, Phelps Insignia, Opus One and Caymus, all at incredible prices. So I ordered several bottles and the service was outstanding. The site is easy to use and the offerings available are updated with new options on a regular basis. Any questions I have had have been answered promptly and more importantly thoroughly. The site definitely has a customer focused approach and the people running it are very easy to deal with. Guys, I want to tell you what a hit the wines I picked up from you guys yesterday were at my dinner last night. As you might recall, my wife and I had the services of a professional chef to do a private dinner party for us and eight of our friends. Naturally we chose a very food- and wine-savvy group of folks, some of whom have wine cellars far exceeding my own. They were absolutely blown away by the food and the pairings!

The Sancerre was a great appetizer wine and a couple of people remarked how much they like Sancerre in general. The Fixin burgundy was bright, light and just structured enough to work with the quail. One person at the table couldn't believe I served Fixin, since it's one of his favorites. The chef surprised us with an extra course of seared foie gras and so I scrambled a bit and then pulled some Domaine d'Orfeuilles Vouvray that I had previously picked up from you guys. It was a spectacular pairing! When I served the Jaboulet with the grilled rack of lamb, another sigh of happiness went up from the crowd. And the Inniskillin sparkling ice wine was an absolute monster pairing with the creme brulée and french toast dessert. Alex, you really nailed that suggestion and I am in your debt!
